This course is designed to offer core art directives, with directions of when to use and populations they are appropriate for.
Attendees will leave with a list of
20 great directives taught by practitioners who have experience with each and a wealth of information to share about the variations and potentials of each.
Attendees will complete two directives and participate in group process of these directives.

Valerie Valentine graduated from Southwestern College with a MA in Art Therapy in 2005. Valerie has completed extensive training and work as a clinical art therapist and transpersonal art therapist in residential care and private practice for the past 10 years. She currently runs a busy private practice in Santa Fe, NM. Valerie’s approach is holistic addressing the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, relationship, and life-style aspects to offer a personalized path to empowered living.
Alanna graduated from Southwestern College with a MA in Art Therapy and Counseling in 2015. She has worked in the mental and behavioral health field since 2009. Alanna began working at Life Healing Center in Santa Fe as a Clinical Therapist and art therapist providing individual, family and group therapy to residents struggling with addiction, trauma and co-occurring mental health challenges. She uses a Transpersonal, person centered approach with a Jungian perspective.
